This individual will be directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the brewery and assist in the production of our flagship beer line.
Key responsibilities include:
Cellar management - logging fermentation progress, conditioning and packaging product, and cold-side ingredient additions.
Production Assistance - Milling grain, measuring hops, aiding in brewing of beer, and eventually managing certain brew days solo.
Cleaning and sanitation - Ensuring brewing facility, tanks, and equipment are always in peak shape for healthy fermentation.
Lab work - Performing yeast cell counts and viability tests, gravity and pH measurements, product quality analysis, and supplemental testing.
Draft systems maintenance - Filling serving tanks for tap room, maintaining draft equipment, and ensuring pressures are set correctly to pour perfect pints.
Interested individuals should have the following qualities and skills:
An unyielding passion for craft beer! Highly safety conscious.
Excellent time management skills.
Extremely detail oriented.
Self-motivated - understand what needs doing and do it without having to be told.
Solid understanding of beer production, cellaring processes, and fermentation science.
Fork-lift certification.
Able to lift 100 pounds.
Have reliable transportation to Lake Stevens.
We are willing to train individuals who have a passion for the craft, but starting salary is commensurate with professional experience.
